At last Rebel cleric Abdul Rashid Ghazi was killed as
a blitz led by army commandos almost crushed the last
stand of religious militants at Islamabad's
Lal Masjid-Jamia Hafsa compound on Tuesday, after the failure of
last-minute peace moves led to fierce battles that the
government said took at least 58 lives on both sides.
Parents of children, who were trapped inside the Lal
Masjid, were tense and had spent the last eight days
outside lal masjid, could only gaze helplessly towards the
trails of black smoke. Now these parents can realize what
mistake they did. They though, their children will learn
Islamic teachings, but these maulanas are using madrasas
for their benefits not teaching Islam at all.
Having been part of the late-night negotiations between
the authorities and Maulana Abdul Rasheed Ghazi, to
avert bloodshed at the Lal Masjid-Jamia Hafsa compound,
Pakistan’s leading social worker and a very kind
personality, renowned around world, Maulana Abdul
Sattar Edhi, told the news agencies that he had known
all along that the obstinate ‘Maulvi’ would not listen.
Now another terrorist Maulana Faqir Mohammad, who
leads a group of hardcore militants in the Bajaur Agency,
threatened to declare a ‘jihad’ against the government if
the standoff is not ended.
On the other hand these terrorist tried to kill every non
Muslim on the name of Islam, last week they killed
Chinese citizens and of course Chinese government is
angry on it, they condemned the killings of three
Chinese workers in Peshawar and called on Pakistani
authorities to do more to protect its citizens there. China’s
Ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui released a
statement that also called for a quick investigation into
Sunday night’s attack by suspected militants on the
Chinese workers’ home in Peshawar.
I always say please, please don’t send your kids in these
madresahs, and beware of these kinds of mullahs.
